Yes we do, but please note you will need to pay the full fee for your consultation following the appointment and claim back from TAC, Workcover or DVA personally. As we are a private clinic, there may be a gap in the refund that you receive back.
Should I arrive early for my appointment? What do I need to bring?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your first appointment to complete a short new patient form. If you have any relevant paperwork, such as scans, referrals, or clinical notes, please bring these as they help your practitioner provide the best care. Performe offers free parking for your convenience, ensuring easy access to our clinic. If you’re unsure what to bring, feel free to contact us for assistance.
Do I need to make a referral to make an appointment?
Our services are open to everyone, and you can book directly through our website or by contacting us. However, appointments for our Sports and Exercise Consultants and Orthopaedic Surgeons will require a GP referral. All other allied health services can be accessed without referral, however if you have any correspondence from a GP or another healthcare provider, please bring it along as it may assist in tailoring your care. We strive to make the process simple and accessible for all clients.
What are the benefits of Whole-Body Cryotherapy?
Whole Body Cryotherapy reduces inflammation, speeds up muscle recovery, improves circulation, and can help with pain management. It may also have the effect of boosted mood and energy due to the hormonal changes experienced during treatment.
Who should avoid Whole-Body Cryotherapy?
Because it involves exposing the body to extremely cold temperatures (typically between -110°C and -130°C) for a short period, those with conditions such as hypertension, heart conditions, Raynaud’s disease, or those who are pregnant should consult a doctor first.
What is the difference between Whole Body Cryotherapy and Spot Cryotherapy?
Spot cryotherapy targets specific areas (e.g., knee, shoulder) rather than exposing the whole body. A practitioner uses a handheld device to apply a supercooled stream of nitrogen gas to the affected area which assists in pain relief, reduced swelling and inflammation, and is safe to perform over cuts and abrasions.
How does hyperbaric oxygen therapy work?
Our Aipod chamber increases oxygen delivery to tissues by placing you in a pressurized chamber with higher oxygen levels. Treatments typically last between 30-60 minutes and are effective in aiding tissue recovery, wound healing and post surgical trauma.
